Help us build the future of Belgian water polo
Belgian water polo is moving forward again. After several challenging years, we are gradually building a new generation of national teams with the ambition of putting Belgium back on the international water polo map.
But ambition requires more than talent. International tournaments, training camps, high-level preparation games, travel, accommodation and coaching all come at a significant cost.
That is why we are launching a crowdfunding campaign to support the continued development of our national youth teams and our new women's programme.
From talent to international experience
Our national programme is growing. With the U17/U18 and U20 teams, we are building a clear development pathway towards the highest international level. At the same time, we are developing a new Belgian women's national team.
In recent years, our players have already shown that Belgium can compete internationally. Winning the silver medal at the U18 European Championship Division 1 in Portugal was an important milestone. Our U20 team also competed at the European Championship Division 1, gaining valuable international experience.
We want to build on that progress.
High-quality international training camps, preparation games and participation in European competitions are essential to achieving this. Only by regularly facing strong international opponents can our players gain the experience they need to keep developing.
Help us take the next step
Through this crowdfunding campaign, we want to create additional financial resources for our national teams. The funds will help support:
- international training camps and tournaments;
- high-level preparation games;
- travel and accommodation;
- participation in international competitions;
- the development and support of our young talents;
- the continued development of our women's national team;
- and the training and participation of Belgian international referees.
Every contribution, big or small, helps us give our players more international experience and build a sustainable future for Belgian water polo.
Let's build the future together
A strong national team starts with strong clubs, committed coaches, officials, referees, volunteers, parents, supporters and, of course, our players.
That is why we are reaching out to the entire water polo community — and to everyone who believes in the future of our sport in Belgium.
