National U18 team wins Easter tournament in Seraing
During the Easter weekend, the Belgian U18 team took part in a strong international tournament in Seraing.
The players had the opportunity to compete against several French teams.
The matches were intense, physical and challenging, but at the same time valuable learning moments for the whole team.
Throughout the tournament, the team showed a nice evolution.
They played with courage, with a strong focus on teamwork, quick transitions and mental resilience. Progress was made in both defence and finishing, which translated into impressive victories.
The final was played against the French team Taverny. After a very exciting and evenly matched game, the regular playing time ended at 15-15.
In the subsequent penalty shoot-out, our goalkeeper, Mathis Malin, became the hero of the match by saving no fewer than three penalties.
The U18 team scored three and missed two, which was enough to secure the overall victory.
With strong resilience, a characterful final and a great deal of team spirit, Belgium's U18 team was crowned the overall winner of this tournament.
A great reward for all the hard work and a step forward towards further international challenges.

A_B 16-11 won
A-D 21-19 won
A-C 20-8 won
Final against Taverny won 18-17 after penalties.
