The RBSF, founded in 1902 and a member of the International Swimming Federation World Aquatics and the European Swimming Federation European Aquatics, is the only recognised umbrella national swimming federation able to represent Belgian swimming abroad. RBSF is also affiliated to the Belgian Olympic and Interfederal Committee (BOIC) as the only national association managing and representing the swimming disciplines in Belgium.
