Death Lucien Pirson

It is with great sadness that we mark the loss of Lucien Pirson.

Lucien Pirson was for many years - together with Herman Verbauwen - one of the driving forces behind Belgian top swimming. Dozens of swimmers (partly) thanks to him reached the Belgian top, European Championships, World Championships and Olympic Games. After he also scored highly abroad, he returned to Belgium, where he was still active at various clubs, until he only ended his coaching career a few years ago.

To this day Lucien Pirson is an example for trainers, with his passion passion for the sport, his drive, his skills to work and communicate with (young) athletes, his pleasure to share his knowledge and skills with others, etc.

We wish to extend our deepest condolences to Lucien's family and loved ones. We hope that the many wonderful memories of him will help to cope with this great loss.
