New sprint queen Florine Gaspard confirmes in small pool on 50m freestyle

Last days, the Open French Short Course Championships took place in Montpellier.

Florine Gaspard twice broke the Belgian record in the 50m freestyle, clocking a BR in 24.39 in the series on 2/11/24 (previous record held by Roos Vanotterdijk, swum only a fortnight ago in Drachten).

In the finals on 2/11/24 Florine swam a phenomenal time of 23.99, becoming the first Belgian woman to dive under the 24-second barrier in short course on the 50m freestyle!
