Roos Vanotterdijk Young Talent of the Year
Last Sunday, 14/12/25, the annual Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year awards ceremony took place!
Roos Vanotterdijk was nominated for both Sportswoman of the Year and Promising Young Sportswoman of the Year. Sarah Dumont was also nominated for Promising Young Sportswoman of the Year.
A wonderful recognition for both ladies.
Roos finished in second place in the Sportswoman of the Year rankings with 476 points, while Emma Meesseman (basketball) took home the trophy with 702 points. Hanne Desmet (short track) finished in third place with 234 points.
But for the Promising Athlete of the Year trophy, Roos took to the podium as the winner with a total of 582 points, beating Jeline Vandromme (tennis) and Nathan De Cat (football), who scored 450 and 252 points respectively.
Sarah Dumont finished fifth in the rankings.
Roos was clearly surprised, a special moment for her and her team. Congratulations Roos, we at Belswim are proud of this achievement.
