Sarah Dumont crowned European Junior Champion once again

At the European Youth Swimming Championships in Samorin (1 to 6 July 2025), Sarah Dumont (NOC) won a gold medal in her event, the 200m butterfly, with an impressive time of 2:09.75, just above her own Belgian record.

Sarah was already European Junior Champion in this event last year, so she is following in her own footsteps!

We also saw some great final places for the following swimmers at the EJC:

Vincent Van Hooydonck (BRABO): 6th place in the 50m freestyle

Sarah Dumont (NOC): 5th place in the 400m medley 8th place in the 100m butterfly, 4th place in the 400m freestyle Siri Vanderlinden (LAQUA): 7th place in the 400m freestyle

Relay Team Belgium:

5th place for 4x100m freestyle mixed, but were unfortunately disqualified due to a sharp take over. (with Vincent Van Hooydonck, Bere Waerniers, Fleur Bussels and Nore Michiels)

7th place for 4x200m freestyle women (with Siri Vanderlinden, Nore Michiels, Léa Metzemakers, Noa Hollebosch)

All swimmers and staff gained a lot of experience on the international stage and are returning home with many memories.

Congratulations to all!
