SILVER for the U18 Red Sharks at the EJC DIV I 2025

What a journey. What a competition. What a team.

The Red Sharks started this tournament with nothing but ambition and ended with silver around their necks and pride in their hearts. In a thrilling final against Israel, where every second counted, our boys ultimately had to acknowledge their superiority with a score of 9-12. But what they gave us was so much more than a scoreboard can show.

The match had four intense periods, each with its own story:
3 - 2 / 3 - 0 / 2 - 5 / 2 - 4

Our boys kept fighting, but the crossbar and posts literally stood in the way of their dream.

But it was more than just a match. What made this final so special was not only the game, but the emotion. The passion, the teamwork, it was noticeable in every pass, every substitution, every sprint. The Red Sharks didn't just give us a final, they gave us a story that we will tell for a long time to come.

Robin Sergeant was named Player of the Tournament. His technical class was an inspiration to the whole team and a nightmare for every opponent.

We are going home with silver, but it feels like gold. Thank you to our Red Sharks for the unforgettable moments. They have shown the world that Belgium can hold its own on the European stage.
